Resource transmission from financial development to tourism growth: Evidence from selected South Asian countries

Tourism has become one of the fastest-growing industries in South Asia, contributing to a variety development goals such as income generation, poverty reduction, employment, foreign currency earnings, and better living standards. On other hand, financial (FD) accelerates growth developing sectors by providing necessary access finance. Therefore, this study explores mechanism resource transmission from FD tourism industry selected Asian countries, India, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal. The second-generation cross-section augmented unit root tests CIPS CADF confirm stationarity property variables. LM bootstrap Durbin-Hausman cointegration find long-run association among D-H panel causality test reveals bi-directional between industry. cointegrating factor for is found be positive (1.03, 1.25, 0.89 respectively) significant PDOLS, PMG-ARDL, Cup-FMOLS estimations. results indicate that enhances supporting tourism-led led hypothesis. also recommends policy measures will help shape implication region.
